My 'paintings for thinking'
have a rather philosophical background and evolve from my interest for
the philosophical world.
For these paintings I don't care if the viewer likes them from the viewpoint
of aesthetics, my goal there is rather to involve the observer with the
depicted subject.
It is, however,
still important for me that my to create motifs which are still "legible"
for most people. This of course means that I have to keep an eye on the
borderline between understanding and not understanding for the respective
viewer.
