1953
Carl-W. Röhrig born on November, 12th in Munich's Schwabing District in South-Germany.

1971
Decision to become an artist. Student of the Academy of Graphic Arts in Munich. Studies basic techniques of painting and arts.

1972
Stage designer at the Munich National Theatre.

Works on animated movies in the US.
Sales in original paintings gain momentum.

1974
First exhibitions in the Munich region. The works are inspired by classical surrealism, though Röhrig's paintings contain substantially different elements then his predecessors in this art form.

1977
Scientific artworks about the world of microcosm.. Carl-W. Röhrig develops a technique for these types of paintings which laterl finds general use and acceptance among many artists.

1978
Scientific artworks for top German companies. Publication of the book "Ars bacteriologica".

1979
Exhibitions in Copenhagen, Vienna, Berlin, Zürich, Munich, Cologne, Gelsenkirchen und Lucerne on the topic "Ars bacteriologica".

1980
The artist moves from Munich to Hamburg. Further exhibitions in Copenhagen, Hamburg and Lucerne.

1981
Exhibition in Tokyo on the topic "Ars bacteriologica.
Further exhibitions in Hamburg in the artist's club "Die Insel" and in the "Gallery Hochhuth", in Zurich at the "Gallery Bavaria" und in Vienna in the "Gallery
Prisma".
Award by the Federal Minister of the Interior of Germany for his outstanding scientific artwork.

1982
Medical-scientific feature film for the international magazine GEO with the title "War in the Body" under the famous director Volker Arzt.
The film is aired on the German National TV (ARD).
Exhibition in Munich in the "Gallery Hartmann" and in Berlin in the "Tabor Gallery".

1983

Publication of several hundred artistic illustrations and paintings for major magazines and periodicals including fifteen cover pages.
